EVANSTON TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL PROFESSIONAL
I felt like I was unfairly evaluated and expected to survive on my own with very little professional support within my department. Unfortunately, I felt that my supervisor was not helpful in helping me be successful as a classroom teacher and helping me grow as a professional. In my experience, the chain of command was very sacred at ETHS. Some supervisors are truly visionary educational leaders who break down barriers for minority students, teachers, and colleagues some are the complete opposite. Depending on your direct supervisor, your experience could be vastly different from that of your colleagues. 7 reviews of Evanston Township High School All in all, ETHS is a very good school, but it can be easy for certain students to get lost in the shuffle. It is the only Booster club in the Central Suburban League. You will learn and talk about race and its impact in everyone's lives. The purpose of the ETHS Boosters is to encourage and promote all extracurricular activities at ETHS.

The building was beautiful and offered a lot of opportunities for students. The school is very high-performing and the students were great. I enjoyed the camaraderie, friendships made and generally nice people there. If you love students and are committed to making a difference in their lives no matter the personal cost, ETHS is a great place to work. SECRETARY (Former Employee) - Evanston, IL - February 7, 2018. Your employees will always be your most valuable asset and should be treated as such. This in turn has caused many employees who work in the Nutrition Services department undue amounts of stress and frustration which has led to break downs in communication and at times tears and outbursts among the coworkers. This department though has great potential to be a great environment for its employees with changes in how management views each of their employees importance and contributions to the department including showing recognition and rewarding those who go above and beyond on a daily basis to provide for the students and staff that work at Evanston Township High School.

This school also has an incredible amount of diversity in so many different aspects. I think it’s a great school, but it still has a lot of work to do. The lengths they go to in providing healthy and delicious menu items for the staff and students is rarely if ever appreciated and has become seen as routine by those managing these employees. Evanston township high school is also deeply rooted in privilege and somewhat insensitivity. Unfortunately there is very little compensation for those that work in this department that go above and beyond to provide food for the children who go to school at Evanston Township High School. Your employees will always be your most valuable asset and should be treated as such.Working in the Nutrition services department is very hard and fast paced work.
